It was great to get your message! I'm sorry it has taken/was taking me so long to reply, but I've just got back from my holiday. Next Saturday I am going/will go to Liz's birthday party. I hope you are coming/will come too!
Last year, she had/has had a party in a cafe by the seaside, which was great, but as you are knowing/know, I don't like dancing and drinking, so while the others have were having

fun, I was feeling rather bored at times.
This time, Liz says she has in mind something we haven't seen/didn't see yet! I have no idea what she has planned, but her husband says we are going to have/will have a lot of fun.
You asked me about my holiday — well, it's just great! I work/have worked here for 5 years and this is the first holiday I took/have taken. Europe is so beautiful right now — everything blooms/is blooming and the air is warm. The city I liked the most was Florence. We spent a very nice afternoon walking around the city, and then had/have had pizza in a little trattoria. I've attached a photo for you. I don't look fantastic in it — I eat/am eating, so I'm like a hamster, but you can see a street musician on the left. He was amazing! He was playing my favourite song from The Godfather as we were walking past the trattoria, and I decided to have dinner there because of him!
