Students! What date is it today? What celebration is coming? Do you know? What do you associate with “Christmas”? Do Russian people celebrate this holiday? When? Why do we celebrate in different time? Let’s remember symbols of this holiday.

Good now let’s read the poem by Red West.

What is the meaning of the word “cheer”?

I hear the bells
Saying christmas is near
They ring out to tell the world
That this is the season of cheer.

Do you like the poem? Why? What image do you have in yours heads? Is it alike this? So let’s describe the picture. What can you say?

So now lets know some traditions of this holiday. What do you think about traditions? Do we have to follow traditions?
