Aims:

Educational - to consolidate material from the previous units about family, appearance, etc. (skilled communication competence)

Developing - to practise reading for detailed information (knowledge construction competence)

Upbringing – to bring up respect and love for English language (linguistic and socio - linguistic competence)

Aids: some pictures, cards of new words, Blackboard, book, Ex.book, dictionary

Цели:

Образовательная – закрепление лексического материала с предыдущих уроков; чтение текста, изучение детальной информации;

Развивающая – развивать навыки речи и чтения учащихся; развивать умение работать с текстом; развивать навыки письма;

Воспитательная – воспитание любви и уважение учащихся к английскому языку.

II. The main part of the lesson

Activity 1.

Study the family tree and write the correct word. Use these words: father, girl, mother, son, niece, husband, aunt, sister, grandfather, grandmother, cousin, daughter, brother, uncle, boy, nephew.

Objective: to revise vocabulary from the previous lesson.

In this activity, pupils should complete the sentences with the correct words.

Activity 2.

Read and explain highlighted words.

Objective: to practise reading for detailed information

Ask PP to read the text and then explain the highlighted words.

Activity 3.

Work in pairs. Write three sentences with your partner's words.

Objective: to practise describing people.

Divide the class into pairs. Each pupil chooses three words for his/her partner. They make up sentences with the words and read them aloud. They can use the words for parts of the body or adjectives for describing them.

Activity 4.

Write about your family or an imaginary family.

Objective: to practise writing about a family

Ask PP to write about their family. They can use Shakhlo's story as an example and they can write about their real or imaginary family.

Activity 5.

Describe the monster

Objective: to consolidate the material of the unit.

Pupils get cards with the different monsters . Their task is to describe the monster.
