Good morning, pupils! I am glad to see you. Take your seat, please. I hope you are well today and ready to work hard and enthusiastically. Today we have the new theme “The whales”.

II. Warm-up activity. Answer the questions.

1. What do you know about Whales? Whales are very large sea animals.

2. Where do they live? They live in water.

3. How long do they live?

4. What do they eat?

5. How large can they be?

III. Read the sentences to know how to use the words.

Curious – әуесқой, любопытный

Unusual curiosity – an interesting strong feeling to find out about something: all children have curiosity about new things.

Whale – кит

Whale – a very large sea animal that breathes air through a hole on the top of the head: a grey/blue whale. People like to watch whales.

Master – шебер, көшбасшы, мастер, лидер

Master - a man who is very good at smth. He is a master of sports. 2) leader, a person who has control over others. He was their master and they obeyed him.

Mastery – шеберлік, мастерство

Mastery – power or control over smb. or smth. She refused to admit his mastery.

Gleaming – жарқын, жалтыраған, блестящий

Gleaming – shiny, clean looking bright, very healthy.

To slap – шапалақтау, шлепать

To slap – to hit somebody or something quickly with a palm or a hand, making a loud noise. He slapped her on her face.

Fatal – болмай қалмайтын, неизбежный

Fatal – causing death: fatal accident, fatal blow. I made a fatal mistake.

Actually – ақиқатында, на самом деле

Actually – really true. It was actually a torpedo, not a fish.

Torpedo – торпеда

Torpedo – a weapon shaped like a tube that is shot under water to hit something.

They found a torpedo.
