• The weather changes rapidly, that`s why you should take an umbrella and warm clothes.

• The official language is English.
• 90 % of people profess Protestantism. Other people profess Baptism, Catholicism, Islam, Judaism.

• The currency of the UK is pound sterling.
• You can exchange the currency in the bank or exchange point.
• You can use credit cards such as Visa, American Express, Master Card.

• Buses and the underground are the best means of conveyance.
• You can buy «Brit express Card». You will get a discount in the buses and will use this card 30 days.

• « Brit-Rail» is the railway ticket which gives you a right to make many trips during 4, 8, 15, 22, 30 days.

The English cuisine

• The English like to eat oatmeal and corn flakes for breakfast, tea and toasts with jam.
• The traditional dishes consist of the meat, vegetables and cereals.
• The English like to cook steaks, roast beefs, pies with pork.
• National dishes such as the pudding and shepherd's pie are widely known in the world.

• London is the capital of shopping and fashion. The central trade street is Oxford Street.

Sights of the UK

• You can see Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul`s Cathedral, the Tower of London, the National Gallery, Madame Tussauds, Trafalgar Square in London.
• You can visit picturesque towns such as Oxford, Cambridge, Windsor, the best beaches in Devon and Cornwall.
