The word edutainment consists of two words: education (обучение) and entertainment (развлечение).

This concept means "learning through entertainment" and involves the introduction of game practices in traditional formats of learning.

Principles of Edutainment

• Through game formats adults and children are involved in the process.
• They receive positive emotions and vivid impressions, thus maintaining interest in continuing participation.
• As a result, they gain new experience with the ability to correctly reflect it, which leads to a conscious development of the skill.

The principle of interaction is learning with the direct and immediate participation in the process and the child and his family.

In order to competently approach the creation and organization of the edutainment program, it is important to start from the requests of those for whom it is intended, children’s interests.

Children are looking for communication and vivid impressions → seek to Express themselves → dream to be recognized → avoid formalism and pressure

• Children want to learn new things, but do not want to do it in the school format.
• Study brings tangible results in the form of the acquired ability to do something. The best way to learn new things is through action.
• Children feel the need for direct communication and friendship.
