на тему:

«Merry Christmas»

Merry Christmas

Цели и задачи мероприятия:

• социокультурный аспект: ознакомление учащихся с обычаями и традициями, связанными с празднованием Нового года и Рождества в стране изучаемого языка, песнями, стихотворениями на английском языке по данной теме;

• развивающий аспект: развитие творческой фантазии и инициативы в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности, а также развитие познавательных интересов учащихся, способности к языковой догадке, непроизвольной и произвольной памяти;

• воспитательный аспект: воспитывать интерес и положительное отношение и умение внимательно слушать, формировать чувство ответственности за выполнение части коллективной работы;

• учебный аспект: совершенствование лексико-грамматические навыков ,навыков монологической и диалогической речи, расширение знания учащихся о традициях страны изучаемого языка

Ход мероприятия:

1. Good afternoon, our dear guests! We are very glad to see you here! Today we are going to have a party which is devoted to the most popular winter holiday - Christmas. I hope you will enjoy it! And to begin with I want to invite the children to sing the well-known song «We wish you a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!»

3. Christmas alphabet.

Now I want nine pupils to come here and take these letters. Let’s make the word CHRISTMAS. Please, stand in the right order.

           Christmas they like.
Pupil 2. H is for horses
           Instead of a bike.
Pupil 3. R is for reindeer,
           What can it hold?
Pupil 4. I is for ice-cream –
           Tasty and cold.
Pupil 5. S is for snow,
           It’s so white.
Pupil 6. T is for Christmas tree,
            It’s so bright.
Pupil 7. M is for Mummy,
           She is the best.
Pupil 8. A is for apples,
           We like how they taste.
Pupil 9. S is for Santa,
             Clever and kind.

Ведущий 1: Dear friends! We are glad to see you here. You know that 25-th of December is a great religious holiday for many people in the world.

Ведущий 2. Such countries as Great Britain, the USA, Canada and many others celebrate Christmas.

Ведущий 1: Many-many years ago Jesus Christ was born. And since that time people began to celebrate his birthday. 

Ведущий 2: It became a good family holiday. All people love it and wait for it.

Ведущий 1: So today we’ll tell you about some of the most popular Christmas traditions. 

5. Презентация «Главные традиции и символы Рождества»

The main Christmas traditions and symbols :

• People buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with toys, sweets, candles and coloured balls.

• People send Christmas cards and presents to their relatives and friends.

• On Christmas Eve when children go to bed they put their Christmas stockings over the fire-place where Santa Claus (is commonly known as a Father Christmas in England ) puts his presents.

• Santa travels on his sleigh. He has eight reindeer.

• Writing Letters To Santa ( Father Christmas )is also a traditional part of this holiday.

• Carol singing is the oldest Christmas tradition.These songs are about Jesus and the time when he was born.

• Traditional Christmas food: roasted turkey, Christmas pudding, Christmas cake, Mince pies.

• Children all over the world love this holiday and learn a lot of poems about Christmas.

7. So now , children, it’s time for your poems and Christmas cards. And I want you to call for the Father Christmas.

Father Christmas: Hello, children! I’m a Father Christmas and I’m here with some sweets for you. But to get them you have to recite a poem about Christmas and show me your Christmas cards. (дети заранее подготовили стихи и рождественские открытки с пожеланиями)

– Be healthy and joyful! 
– My best congratulations on Christmas! 
– May all your dreams come true! 
– I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Now we are going to make a collage of your Christmas and New Year pictures.
